Step 1

Place bread on cutting board and spread butter evenly over one side of each slice.

Step 2

Flip one side over and sprinkle with cheese. Place second slice of bread over top of cheese and press lightly. Make sure buttered sides are on the outside of the sandwich!

Step 3

Place sandwich in pan and heat over medium-low, pressing gently. Cook until first side is golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.

Step 4

Use spatula to carefully flip sandwich over. Cook on this side until cheese has melted, then move sandwich back to cutting board. Cut in half and say, “cheese” for a job well done!
